The West Point Church began during the 1930’s and they met each summer under a temporary structure known as a brush arbor.  The Chruch got it's name because during the winter months the church would convene each Sunday in a nearby one-room school. The school had been built in the west corner of someone’s field and became known as the West Point School. After several winters meeting in this school, the congregation became known as the West Point Church

This small group experienced the supernatural gift of the Holy Ghost evidenced by speaking with tongues as described in Acts 2.  This powerful experience had been rediscovered due to the dynamic revivals that happened at the turn of the 20th century in Topeka, KS and at Azuza Street in Los Angelos CA.  This movement became know as the Pentecostal Movement and so the church naturally became known as the West Point Pentecostal Church.

They built their first building in 1937.  It was a small frame church made out of rough-cut timber with pews that had been torched and varnished.  Three years later the church caught on fire and burned to the ground.  They rebuilt the church out of stone.  It was completed in 1941 and the original structure still remains visible from the rear of our old sanctuary.

In 2003, with no room left to grow, the church erected a new sanctuary that we presently enjoy.

Family Atmosphere.  That’s the goal we are always striving to reach.  We want everyone who worships here to become like members of our extended family and we are working hard to make that a reality. There are many friendly people filled with enthusiasm and faith to welcome you the first time and every time after that. Our Guest Relations team is full of “happy people” ready to answer your questions and help you find what you need.

Ministry For All Ages.  We have many lively classes and programs for children of all ages every Wednesday Evening and a kid’s church designed specifically with them in mind every Sunday Morning. Your teenagers will love our Student Ministry Program complete with their own youth sanctuary, arcade, WI-FI cafe, and much much more. They offer age specific classes on Sunday Mornings and a Student Worship Service every Wednesday night. There’s even something for you!  We have active care and fellowship ministries for every age demographic from singles to seniors and everyone that falls in between.

Divine Healing and the Supernatural.  It is very common within our worship services for people to be invited to the front for special prayer.  We believe through prayer and faith we receive access to the supernatural.  We believe in divine healing, provision and miraculous deliverance.  We have found the scripture to be true; nothing is too hard for our God!
